Nancy Silverton

Nancy Silverton is a James Beard Award-winning celebrity chef and the co-owner of Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza, Mozza2Go, chi SPACCA, and her recently opened Italian-inspired steakhouse, The Barish. Silverton also founded the world-famous La Brea Bakery. Nancy has been listed as one of the Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink by both Fortune and Food and Wine Magazines.

Billy Harris

Billy Harris is a nationally-known MC and auctioneer, who lends his comedic style, razor sharp timing, and brilliant improvisational skills to the table. He also created The "Billy Harris Dinner Series", an intimate, multi-course and wine-paired dining event with the country's best chefs.

Charlotte Voisey

Charlotte Voisey is one of the most respected spirits educators and mixologists in the World. She has been awarded Best American Brand Ambassador, Golden Spirit Award winner, UK Bartender of the Year, Mixologist of the Year for Wine Enthusiast Magazine, and a silver medal at the World Bartender Championships in Italy.  Charlotte has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation for her contribution to mixology and is currently the Global Head of Ambassadors for William Grant & Sons.

Dan Navarro

Dan Navarro is well known as a songwriter for the Grammy-nominated classic, "We Belong", for Pat Benatar, as well as for his work with The Bangles, The Triplets, The Temptations, Four Tops, Dave Edmunds, Susanna Hoffs, Neil Young, and many others. In addition, Dan maintains a parallel career as a voice actor and singer, and has performed with notable Spanish singers like Luis Miguel, Jose Feliciano, and Gloria Trevi. He is a long time supporter of the Golden West Chapter, after losing his songwriting partner, Eric Lowen, to ALS in 2012, and serves as an advisory trustee.

Carlos Calvo

Carlos Calvo injects Alternative Folk/Pop with something it has been missing: virtuoso guitar playing. His original music features his warm, resonant voice, deep and thoughtful lyrics, accompanied by guitar playing that elegantly mixes genres from Blues to Flamenco and everything in between.

Jake Shimabukuro

Jake Shimabukuro has proved that there isn’t a style of music that he can’t play. Responding to the urgent calls of his fervent imagination, the Hawai’i-born virtuoso has taken the ‘ukulele to points previously thought impossible, and in the process he’s reinvented the applications for this tiny, heretofore underappreciated four-string instrument, causing many to call him “the Jimi Hendrix of the ‘ukulele.”

About Us

The ALS Association Golden West Chapter’s mission is to discover treatments and cures for ALS, and to serve, advocate for and empower people affected by ALS so they can live their lives to the fullest.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a fatal neurodegenerative illness that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Everything we do advances the search for effective treatments and cures for ALS. The Chapter currently serves more than 1,800 people with ALS and their families in 31 counties in California and the state of Hawaii.

Proceeds from Champions for Cures and Care will provide critical funding for The ALS Association Golden West Chapter’s mission priorities in the areas of care services, public policy, and cutting edge ALS research—all of which are essential to achieving our vision: creating a world without ALS.
